Eligibility Requirements for Mastercard Foundation Scholarship
Here’s what you need to be part of this opportunity:
- You must be eligible to start a program at Makerere University.
- You have completed your high school education in Africa for undergraduate applications, or possess a Bachelor’s degree for Master’s applications.
- Exhibit financial need, leadership qualities, and an active role in community service.
- Not be a recipient of any other scholarship nor be enrolled in any other tertiary program.
- You should be under 35 years old (or under 40 if you are a refugee or have a disability).
How to Apply
You can apply for Mastercard Foundation scholarship in three ways:
- Online: Fill out the application form on the website for Graduate Applications or Undergraduate Applications.
- By Email: Download the application form, fill it out, and email it as one document to [email protected].
- In Person: Print out the application form, fill it in, and take it to the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program office at Makerere University, Plot 144, Pool Road, Makerere University.
Things to Keep in Mind
- The last day to apply is June 14, 2024, by 5:00 PM EAT.
- The application is completely free. Watch out for scams!
- Your application needs to be complete and honest. Cheating will get you disqualified.
- If you don’t hear back by August 16, 2024, it means you didn’t get the scholarship.
