Who can apply for this Fulbright-Radboud Scholarship
The Fulbright-Radboud Scholarships are open to American students who meet the following criteria:
- Nationality: Must have American citizenship.
- Academic Excellence: Should have excellent academic records.
- Extracurricular Involvement: Must be actively involved in extracurricular activities.
Additionally, U.S. students currently residing in the Netherlands, as well as those holding dual citizenship with the U.S. and the Netherlands or any EU country, are not eligible for this scholarship.
Scholarship Benefits
For the academic year 2025-2026, the scholarship offers:
- Monthly Allowance: You’ll get €1,550 each month to help with your living expenses.
- Travel and Visa Costs: Up to €1,000 is covered for your flight, and the fees for your visa and residence permit are all taken care of.
- Insurance: Your insurance is paid for by Fulbright, but keep in mind you’ll need to cover your tuition fees separately.
If you’re in a two-year program, you’ll need to show good progress in your studies to receive funding for the second year.
How to Apply for the Fulbright-Radboud Scholarship
The application period for the 2025-2026 scholarships closes on October 8, 2024. You’ll also need to apply to Radboud University by January 1, 2025, separately from the Fulbright application (https://www.ru.nl/en/education/scholarships/fulbright-radboud-scholarships). Make sure you get admitted to the Master’s program of your choice and have your admission letter ready for the Fulbright application.
To apply for a Master’s program at Radboud, start your application on October 1, 2024. The application is all online, and you’ll find out if you’ve been admitted by the end of March 2025.
