The Eric Bleumink Fund generously covers tuition fees, international travel, subsistence, books, and health insurance. It supports one or two-year Master’s degree programs across a wide range of disciplines offered at the University of Groningen.

Selection Criteria for Eric Bleumink Fund Scholarship

The scholarship is open to students from specific countries, primarily those classified as low or lower-middle income, including Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Ghana, Indonesia, and several others across Africa, Asia, and Eastern Europe. Also you should:

  • Have an admission offer for a master’s program at the University of Groningen by February.
  • Demonstrate outstanding academic achievements and be backed by strong letters of recommendation.
  • Show proficiency in English to meet the admission requirements of your chosen program.
  • Be fully available and committed to the duration of the program and participate actively.
  • Be in good health, as required by the scholarship’s health insurance provisions.
  • Hold nationality from an eligible country and have no other financial means for studying abroad.

How to Apply for Eric Bleumink Fund Scholarship

Direct applications for the Eric Bleumink Fund are not accepted. Instead, you will be considered for a scholarship upon receiving an admission offer from the University. The selection is coordinated through the University of Groningen’s Admission Office and the respective faculties’ Admission Boards.

Ensure your application for the master’s program is submitted by December 1, 2024 to allow enough processing time and to secure your nomination for the scholarship.
