Special Initiative: African American Art History
The African American Art History Initiative (AAAHI) offers special grants for scholars focusing on African American art. This program supports research that brings new insights and visibility to African American visual culture. If your work aligns with these goals, AAAHI is an excellent opportunity to expand knowledge and engage with a supportive scholarly community.
What’s Included in the Grant?
- Eligibility: If you have a PhD that was awarded more than five years ago, or if you have similar professional experience, this grant is for you!
- Duration and Support: You can choose to stay with us for three, six, or nine months. The support ranges from a $21,500 to $65,000 stipend, plus you’ll get a personal work space, help from research assistants, an apartment, and travel costs covered.
- Deadline: Applications close on October 1, 2024.
