Graduate Programs Scholarship Opportunities at Eastern Mediterranean University

Exciting news for aspiring graduate students! Eastern Mediterranean University’s Institute of Graduate Studies and Research is offering substantial scholarships for both Master’s and PhD programs. Whether you’re from Turkey or any other corner of the globe, there’s a scholarship opportunity waiting for you.

Scholarships Opportunities:

  • PhD Programs: Up to 100% tuition fee scholarships for students from Turkey and international students.
  • Master’s Programs: Up to 100% for Turkish students and 50% for international students.

Note: For those awarded a 100% scholarship, there’s the potential to be appointed as a ‘Category E Research Assistant.’ This role includes at least 6 hours of academic or administrative duties per week, providing a fantastic opportunity for hands-on learning and professional development.

Who Can Apply for Graduate Programs Scholarship

New students who have never registered at the university before are welcome to apply. If you have previously enrolled and terminated or were dismissed from the university, unfortunately, you cannot re-apply for these scholarships.

Important: Special or visiting students are not eligible for these scholarships.

Evaluation Criteria

  • Graduates with a minimum of 3.00 CGPA (out of 4.00) from an undergraduate program.
  • For Turkish citizens: additional requirements include having a relevant ALES score of 65 or higher.
  • Departments rank applicants not only based on CGPA but also other department-specific criteria.

How to Apply

The application process is straightforward, apply during your online program application (https://grad.emu.edu.tr/en/fees/scholarships). Ensure you mark your interest in the scholarship when you apply online for your chosen graduate program.

Maintaining Your Scholarship

  • Duration: Scholarships are awarded for four semesters in Master’s programs and ten semesters in PhD programs. This does not include extensions or registration freezes.
  • Termination: Failing to meet academic or disciplinary standards may result in the termination of your scholarship.

Application Deadline

The application deadline for the Fall semester at Eastern Mediterranean University is September 2, 2024, for citizens from countries requiring a visa, and September 13, 2024, for citizens from countries that do not require a visa.
