Indo-Pacific Leadership Lab 2024 Internship in Honolulu, Suva, and Tokyo

Are you ready to tackle climate change and make a real impact? The Indo-Pacific Leadership Lab, created by the East-West Center and the Japan Foundation, is looking for students and young professionals like you, who are passionate about this global challenge.

Join a year-long program where you’ll meet other young leaders from around the Indo-Pacific region. You’ll attend workshops in exciting cities like Honolulu, Suva, and Tokyo, diving into the complexities of climate change and exploring how to come up with practical solutions.

What will You Learn and Achieve

  • You’ll understand deep issues about climate adaptation through hands-on seminars and workshops.
  • You will take your new knowledge back home and try out what you’ve learned under the guidance of experienced leaders.
  • you’ll meet and collaborate with peers who are just as driven to make a difference in the world.

Who Can Apply for Indo-Pacific Leadership Lab?

  • You should have 5-10 years of work experience or study related to climate change or environmental protection.
  • This program is open to residents and citizens of many countries across the Pacific, South Asia, Southeast Asia, Japan, and the USA.
  • You need to be fluent in English and good at writing.

Sponsorship You Will Receive

All selected participants will receive comprehensive financial support that includes airfare, accommodations, meals, and program materials. This ensures that financial constraints do not hinder your ability to participate.

If you’re ready to enhance your leadership skills and contribute effectively to global climate change solutions, apply now by  the Indo-Pacific Leadership Lab application page.

The program will be held between October 2024 to September 2025. So to take part, you need to submit your application by May 31, 2024. Make sure your application is complete and don’t forget to include a letter of recommendation, which can be submitted until June 9, 2024.
