New Southbound Policy Mandarin and Semiconductor Short-term Study Program in China

Are you ready to expand your horizons and dive into the dynamic worlds of technology and culture? If you’re a student from the Indo-Pacific looking for a unique educational adventure, the New Southbound Policy Mandarin and Semiconductor Short-term Study Program in Taiwan might be your perfect match. Running from September 2024 to January 2025.

This program is designed to enrich your knowledge in AI and semiconductors, while you immerse yourself in learning Mandarin.

Eligibility for New Southbound Progarm

To be eligible, you must be a sophomore, junior, or senior from one of the New Southbound Policy countries, which include:

  • Southeast Asia: Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Brunei, Laos, Myanmar, Cambodia
  • South Asia: India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Pakistan
  • Oceania: Australia, New Zealand

Note: Applicants should not hold passports from PRC (including Hong Kong and Macau) or Taiwan (ROC), and must not currently receive financial aid from Taiwanese sources (https://cltc.ntut.edu.tw/p/404-1035-138256.php?Lang=zh-tw&fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTAAAR2YGSIB5B6Y3SiaF1wqOv8xAb5kmViRPjojP2-ITr_r49hZrq79zj7CUJM_aem_qGtEY2zJ2WGF5yuo5bEejQ).

What Does the Funding Cover?

The program generously covers:

  • Round trip airfare (NTD 15,000)
  • Living stipend (NTD 10,000 per month)
  • Housing support (NTD 18,000 per month)
  • Student insurance for the duration (NTD 3,300)
  • Full funding for all educational and extracurricular activities
