If so, the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB) invites you to showcase your talent in the “YTB Turkish Awards” competition. This event is designed to discover and nurture literary talents who excel in expressing themselves through the Turkish language.
The competition includes categories like Best Work, Essay, Story, Poetry, and Children’s Literature, offering multiple ways for you to demonstrate your writing skills.This year marks a special opportunity as it’s the first time the competition is open to both the Turkish diaspora and international students. This broadens the arena for more diverse and rich literary contributions.
Evaluation Details for YTB Turkish Awards
Entries will be meticulously reviewed by a panel of experts grouped into selection committees. Your work will be evaluated based on:
- Proficiency and artistic use of the Turkish language
- Adherence to grammar and spelling conventions
- Compliance with the specific requirements of your chosen category
- Originality and creativity in style and content
Prizes and Opportunities
Winners in each category will not only receive accolades but also get the chance to attend the “International Young Writers Academy.” This academy is a fantastic platform to further hone your writing skills and network with peers and professionals in the literary world.
How to Apply for YTB Turkish Awards?
To participate, submit your literary pieces through the official application portal at basvuru.ytb.gov.tr within the specified application period. Please note that submissions outside this window will not be accepted.
